Upcoming May Revival

with Dr. Bill Saye

Dr. Saye's Testimony:

"I believe my life of sin began at age 8 when I began rebelling against my parents. I was a runaway at age 12, a gang member at 13 and a gang leader at 14. I became involved with organized crime, in which I spent 15 years of my life. I was arrested numerous times, I was shot twice, had two homes burned, a number of attempts on my life, my wife was murdered, my son kidnapped, and I thought I was some kind of god.

I had everything the world had to offer. I ran a five-state prostitution ring and later became the head of the largest drug organization of its type in the USA. I became a multi-millionare and thought I had it all. I was known as the "Drug King" with an empire, but in 1980 my "kingdom" came to an end when I was arrested for first-degree murder.

From the Pastor’s Pen

There are many verses in the Bible that are considered Key Verses.  John 3:16, “For God so loved the world,  that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” is often considered the “Gospel in a nut shell.”  John 3:16 does declare the great love of God toward man in the person of Jesus the Christ.  The verse also tells us that “whosoever”, the worst of the worst, or the best of the best, “believes”, and puts their trust in Jesus Christ’s saving ability, will be rescued from eternal death unto “eternal life”.  This rescue, “salvation”, begins the very instant your trust is placed in Christ Jesus. Many say, “sounds too easy”.  Christ did the hard part, when He who was without sin, took our sins upon Himself while on the Cross and carried those sins to the grave defeated our sins and rose again victorious over those sins.  We must realize we are sinners, confess our sins to God and put our trust in Christ ability to pay for our sin debt.  Ephesians 2:8-9 says, (vs.8) “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: (vs.9) Not of works, lest any man should boast”.

God Will Bless You,

New Building Plans

Building Committee

Bro Sonny Scarborough and the congregation of White Rock Baptist Church are so excited to be experiencing a wonderful blessing, the building of a New Church. After many years of prayer and seeking God's will among the congregation they have truly seen the explosion of God's people seeking His direction.
God has laid out his plan from the gracious gift of land from Mrs. Harlowe Johnson and the Johnson family, to placing a praying expansion committee together and ultimately to a congregation of people willing to step out in faith. The foundation will soon be poured on the new 10,000 square foot facility. One can definitely feel the excitement and the love among the people just by coming through the door. It is our prayer to be a lighthouse on the hill for those seeking Love , acceptance and God's Will in their lives. We invite anyone looking for a church FAMILY to come and visit us. We have something for everyone . We have classes for the very young to the young at heart. We also provide children's church for those up to seven years old.
Some of our activities have included The Jerusalem Marketplace, Take a youth fishing, and an upcoming Vacation Bible School that will be a blast. Once again come join in and be a part of our new facilities and our family. For a ride to church please call 936-275-6884.
Those wishing to be apart of the blessing by sending donations may do so by mailing to White Rock Baptist Church, Rt 2 Box 975 San Augustine Texas 75972 or contacting Mrs. Bonnie McCary at Texas Bank and Trust for Account information.
