Concert, "The McRae's

There will be a concert this Friday, February 13, 2009 at
Whiterock Baptist Church at 7pm. Featuring the McRae's; this concert
will be a tremendous blessing to all who attend. Please come and join
us for a this concert.

New Sunday School Meeting 2008
The new Sunday School year will start September 7, 2008.
We have all new materials and classes are forming now. For example,
our new couples class will be studying "Experiencing God's Word
as Couples."
We kicked off the planning with a organizational cook-out
on Sunday, August 24, 2008 in the fellowship hall following Sunday A.M.
services. All of the class leaders are very excited and getting
prepared to host their new classes. Please come and join us; we would
love to have you!

Plant Sale
This weekend, March 13th and 14th, we will be holding a
plant sale in Center and San Augustine. Here in San Augustine we will
be at the circle (the intersection of Hwy. 96 and Hwy. 21) from 10am-6pm.
In Center the sale will be at Intellicepts from 9am 'til. Prices will
be $5 for 1 gal. and $12.50 for 3 gal. various trees and shrubs available.
Crepe Myrtles, Gardenia, Bottle Brush, Azalea, and many others. If you need to dress up your yard here's your chance!

The last weekend is February is the annual Feminar trip. Held in Longview, TX
our ladies always enjoy this conference.

the speakers and Point of Grace for music.
Concert, "Hands of Praise"

There will be another local concert on February 21, 2009,
6pm at the First Baptist Church of San Augustine. "Hands of Praise" a
deaf choir from Bossier, LA will be performing live. This concert has
wonderful reviews from those who have seen them in the past and should be a
blessing as well so please make plans now to attend.
Sassafrass Festival
Friday, and Saturday, October 24-25, 2008 we will have
three booths at the San Augustine Sassafras Festival. One will be a
train ride for the kids $1 per ride. The second will be operated by
our youth and will have hair and face painting. The third will be a
food booth, and will offer such festival fare as funnel cakes and potato
swirls. The money raised at the festival will be donated to our youth
fund. To help purchase materials and supplies for the youth classes
and activities this year. Please come out and help us support our
youth.
Also in October is our annual Fall Festival here at the
church. There will be games, a hayride, candy, and lots of fun.
